FIRST MUTUAL ASSISTS VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES DURING COVID 19 LOCKDOWN
Following the COVID-19 pandemic which has been declared state of emergency by the government and affecting the entire globe, The First Mutual Group subsidiaries have responded to the call and is complementing the government’s and other corporate organisations efforts in this fight by making a contribution of ZWL$750 000.00 towards food support packs aimed at vulnerable communities. These will be distributed to 600 families through a partnership with Miracle Missions.
The intention is to provide food / home care packs to people in self isolation, isolation packs for larger family units, primary caregivers or breadwinners, and lastly to specifically identified individuals. First Mutual is playing its role as a responsible corporate citizen and contributing to a national cause. This is in line with the group’s CSR initiatives to contribute to the community in which the business operates and has contributed to previous national fundraising efforts towards the cholera epidemic and cyclone Idai disaster recently experienced in Zimbabwe
